In june we saw high water with heavy current and lots of drift, finally the river has calmed and cleared

as always click on the pic for full image

Pictured here a 22lb blue cat taken in heavy current on live shad
these fish were holding on the head of a hole (drop off) I was using 1 lb of weight on each bait just to hold it on bottom. Had one other good fish, but lost it-(straightend the 2/0 whisker sticker). I have since switched to mustad 37140 wide gap hooks.

Next pic is of a pair of cats, one channel and one blue

Next pic is a stringer of blue cats, fished all day with very few hook ups, the fish were hitting the bait hard but would turn the bait loose or make away with the bait due to short bites (live shad), about 6:30 pm picked up 5 blues in as many minutes to turn a dull day into a success

Last pic a 31 lb blue taken in 54 feet of water, out of a small depression about 2ft deeper than surrounding area.
Like the last fish this one too took the bait short, only was hooked in the whisker, but it wasn't a whisker sticker, 4/0 mustad. We had to come home to get batteries for the camera to take pictures of this cat, was about to release it into the river at the dock when a local fella asked if he could have it to put in his pond (spring fed pond) So no commercial fisherman will ever get this one in a net.
